Client Relationship

At Weston Capital Management, each client's primary contact is a principal of the firm.  This principal will meet with the client to determine investment objectives.  Such objectives may include capital growth, current income, or a combination of the two.  Based on these client-advisor discussions, portfolios will be individually structured to take into account a client's age, risk tolerance, and long-term or short-term nature of funds invested.   We believe in providing a high level of service, and we encourage clients to call when they have questions about the investment process or their portfolios.

Clients receive monthly statements illustrating both the portfolio assets and any transactions that may have occurred during the month.  During the course of a year, clients may request year-to-date income schedules and gain/loss schedules to assist their accountants in the tax-planning process.

Client assets are held by an independent, third-party custodian; usually this will be the trust department of a large commercial bank.  When an investment decision is made, Weston Capital Management places the orders to buy and sell securities with various brokers and then instructs the custodian bank to settle each transaction with the respective brokers.

Unlike many investment management companies, WCM does not employ any "account executives" which act as intermediaries between the client and the investment team.  All clients have direct access to the principals of the firm, and each principal contributes to the investment selection process.  These closer ties to the principals mean that WCM can be particularly responsive to the changing needs of the individual client.
